HISTORY
Seven generations family baker Borgesius asked us to review and refine there logo. After strategic studies it was concluded that the valuable historic logo should not be dismiss. Instead of creating a modern logo we took on the challenge to make the logo as authentic as possible. Referencing achieve photos where the very first signature could be found we go to work in reproducing a logo that authentically represented the original family signature.
In addition to the Borgesius logo we we asked to introduce the new brand of Goedhart. With the merge of companies Borgesuis, Bakkersland and Veenhuis the new structure would be two names, Borgesius and Goedhart.
Borgesius was awarded the ‘Koninklijk’ (Royal honorary title) status in The Netherlands. We were also honoured to be ask as a second part of the the project to develop a crown to be added to the signature to acknowledge this. Out of respect to the logo we designed the crown to look as if it was part of the original signature.
