3 Michelin star ‘De Librije’
De Librije’s Jonny & Thérèse’s asked us to design two products for Botanical Spirits. For Jonny, a Gin/Genever drink and for Thérèse a Rum drink, both requiring unique names. RUMOUR plays on word RUM and AMOUR, reflecting passion of Thérèse. Hidden concept reveals itself when drunk, letter ‘A’ appears behind ‘U’ revealing word AMOUR. REVENGE an anagram of GENEVER. Instead of two separate bottles we designed the two bottles as one. With the concept ‘Team Spirit’, bottles are created as a mirror image of each other, but have unique character representing Jonny and Thérèse. When placed together the form a single skull illustration. Printed full colour on glass instead of using a clear plastic label. An unconventional choice was not to use the ingredients in the spirits but use ingredients they work with in the restaurant. As a finishing touch the lips ‘kiss’, the personal signature of Thérèse, are embellished with a gold foil.
